Three Types of Odds Formats and How to Calculate Returns
On hi Bet, odds are usually shown in decimal format, but it is also useful to understand fractional and American formats. Say Team A's odds to win are 2.50. The same price looks like this in all three formats:

Another example — if Team B is the favourite, odds could be 1.25 (fractional 1/4, American -400). On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team B wins, total return is ৳1,250 (only ৳250 profit), but the chance of winning is higher because they are the favourite.
Single Bet and Multi Bet — Differences and Calculations
The bet slip is your betting record — selections are added here, the stake is entered, and the potential return is shown.
Single Bet: One bet on one event. For example — in a limited-overs match, Team A's odds are 1.80 and Team B's are 2.00. If you place ৳1,000 on Team B and Team B wins, you get back ৳2,000 (৳1,000 profit); if Team A wins, you lose ৳1,000.
Multi Bet (Accumulator): Multiple selections are combined into one bet. If all selections win, the odds are multiplied, so the return is much higher. But if even one loses, the entire bet is lost.
Example — 3 selections at decimal odds of 1.50, 1.60, and 1.80 respectively. The combined odds will be 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.80 = 4.32 (approximately). On a ৳100 bet, if all win, return is ৳432; if any one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
All 3 selections must win — if any one loses, ৳100 is gone.

BACK and LAY — How a Betting Exchange Works
In a regular sportsbook, you bet against the site. In a betting exchange, bets are placed directly with other players — there are two roles: BACK (betting on a win) and LAY (betting on a loss).
Example — BACK Team A at decimal odds of 2.00 with ৳500. If Team A wins, you profit ৳500 (before commission); if they lose, you lose ৳500.
In the same match, LAY Team A — if a backer places ৳500 BACK, your liability is ৳500 (৳500 × 1.00). If Team A does not win, you profit ৳500; if Team A wins, you pay ৳500 (before commission).
